Eternal Outs

This exception trap shows SKUs being counted (during your shooting-outs process) at zero on hand at least twice during the last three months. During this period, the SKU has not exhibited any sales or purchase activity. This can indicate a condition where an empty hook/bin is being counted at zero repeatedly, but the product is not being replenished. This can happen when an item is canceled from your warehouse, or an errant code (Inventory Maintenance) has been applied to the SKU, which is blocking it from being reordered.

Steps to process this report:

  1. Determine if the SKU is available from your RSC (type the SKU into Acenet and look for its status).
  2. If the SKU is not desired or unavailable from the vendor, remove the tag and hook and update its location code and Store Closeout flag, if applicable.
  3. If the item or its replacement is available and desired, then order the item and/or set its codes (see below) so that it can be reordered.
  4. If the SKU is showing a QOO Issue? Then there might be an issue with a pending order in your Purchasing system.
  5. If the row shows ICMBlok, then replenishment is blocked by ICM until the replaced SKU's quantity-on-hand is depleted.

Columns

  • SKU Number - this is the replacement SKU number.
  • ICMBlok - this SKU's will not be replenished via RSO/MPO until the corresponding ICM SKU is sold (ICM Blocking SKU).  The blocking SKU can be found by clicking the Additional Codes hyperlink in the lower right-hand corner of the Codes tab in Inventory Maintenance).
  • QOO = XXX - this is the number of units showing as Quantity on Order in your system and may be blocking the SKU from being reordered.F - Store Closeout: if a SKU's Store Closeout flag is set to Y (Yes) or U (Temporary)  then the item will be excluded from its reorder report (RSO). Multi-Store: this is a store specific code. (Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance)

  • G - Disc Flag: if a SKU's Disc flag is set to Y then the item will be excluded from its reorder report (RSO). Note: this flag is usually controlled by Ace (Ace SKUs). Multi-Store: this is master data. (Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance).

  • H - ROP Protect: if a SKU is ROP Protected (ROP Protect = Y) and its Order Point is zero then it will not be reordered; set ROP Protect to N.  Multi-Store: this is store specific. (Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance).

  • J - Special Order SKU: a value of Y will prevent the SKU from showing up on your RSO/MPO. This value can be changed in the Inventory Maintenance -> Codes tab, Additional Codes (lower right).
