UPC Cross Links

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below or watch the video to remove a cross-linked UPC from the incorrect SKU and add the UPC to the correct SKU.

  • Steps to process this report:

    1. In Acenet, search on a UPC number from the report's x-UPC column. To do so, enter a UPC into the search field and press ENTER.
    2. Verify the SKU in the results matches the SKU listed in the report's SKU_B column.
    3. In Epicor's Eagle Browser, open Inventory Maintenance.
    4. Enter a SKU from your Cross-linked UPCs report's SKU_A column and click the Display button.
    5. Click the UPC link.
    6. Click the checkbox for the UPC from your report's x-UPC column and click the Delete button. (You may need to click Yes to confirm you want to delete the linked UPC.)
    7. Click the Close button.
    8. In the main Inventory Maintenance screen, enter the SKU from your report's SKU_B column and click the Display button.
    9. Click the UPC link.
    10. Enter the UPC from your report's x-UPC column into the New UPC field and click the Add button. It's okay if there are multiple UPCs listed.
    11. Repeat the previous steps for each cross-linked UPC listed in your report.
    • Stores with Secure Access will not be able to paste in the macro, you'll need to build the macro manually which is different than typing in the macro.

      File Prep (A)

      1. Enable Editing and Enable Content. Enable Content
      2. Sort out any data you may want to exclude using the column filters.
      3. IMPORTANT: You need to click and save both buttons in this File Prep stage, as this solution is done in rounds. See the steps below.
      4. Click the button in the header called "UPC Delete".
      5. The file is automatically prepped as a .txt file and needs to be saved. Save location defaults to the Desktop\MangoFiles...
      6. Click the button in the header called "UPC Add".
      7. The file is automatically prepped as a .txt file and needs to be saved. Save location defaults to the Desktop\MangoFiles...
      8. Close out of Excel.


      Network Access Import (B)

      1. In Eagle Browser, launch Network Access (NA). MUPC.jpg
      2. In the Function line type MUPC and press Enter.
      3. In the upper right, click Options -> Keys -> Programmable Keys.
      4. Pick an open Key, for this help I will use Ctrl + F8.
      5. Under Data File Name: click the ". . .". 
      6. Select the UPCDelete file we saved in Step A.5 above.
      7. One time setup - Under Macro Definition: paste the following WITHOUT the asterisks. **If you are unable to Paste the macro, this is because you have Secure Access. Please see the "Building the Macro for Secure Access users" below.
        1. **{END}{DEL}{DEL}{Column 1}{ENTER}{Column 2}{END}{Column 2}{ENTER}{Column 1}{BREAK}{END}{BS}{DEL}{Column 2}{F6}{F6}{F12}**
      8. Uncheck the box that says "Macro playback follows keyboard focus".
      9. Click OK.
      10. Press F12 to ensure the screen is clear.
      11. Press the programmable key you used, in this case, I used Ctrl + F8.
      12. The screen will begin to flash. This process may take several minutes depending on the number of stores/updates.
      13. When the screen has stopped, proceed to the next step. The above steps have deleted the UPC from the incorrect SKU; the steps below will add the UPC to the correct SKU.
      14. Press F12 to clear the screen.
      15. In the upper right, click Options -> Keys -> Programmable Keys
      16. Pick an open Key, for this help I will use Ctrl + F9.
      17. Under Data File Name: click the ". . ."
      18. Select the UPCAdd file we saved in Step A.7 above
      19. One time setup - Under Macro Definition: paste the following WITHOUT the asterisks. **If you are unable to Paste the macro, this is because you have Secure Access. Please see the "Building the Macro for Secure Access users" below.
        1. **{END}{DEL}{DEL}{Column 2}{ENTER}{Column 1}{END}{Column 1}{ENTER}{Column 2}{F4}{F12}**
      20. Uncheck the box that says "Macro playback follows keyboard focus".
      21. Click OK.
      22. Press F12 to ensure the screen is clear.
      23. Press the programmable key you used, in this case, I used Ctrl + F9.
      24. The screen will begin to flash. This process may take several minutes depending on the number of stores/updates.
      25. When the screen has stopped you can close out of Network Access, you're finished!
    •  UPC DELETE MACRO

      1. Place your cursor in the Macro Definitions box.
      2. Press the End key on your keyboard.
      3. Press the Delete (not backspace!) key on your keyboard.
      4. Press the Delete (not backspace!) key on your keyboard.
      5. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 1 -> and click OK.
      6. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
      7. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 2 -> and click OK.
      8. Press the End key on your keyboard.
      9. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 2 -> and click OK.
      10. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
      11. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 1 -> and click OK.
      12. Press the Pause/Break key on your keyboard.
      13. Press the End key on your keyboard.
      14. Press the Backspace key on your keyboard.
      15. Press the Delete (not backspace!) key on your keyboard.
      16. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 2 -> and click OK.
      17. Press the F6 key on your keyboard.
      18. Press the F6 key on your keyboard.
      19. Press the F12 key on your keyboard.
      20. Your Macro Definition should look like the image below.
      21. You can now resume the instructions at Step 9.

      UPC ADD MACRO

      1. Place your cursor in the Macro Definitions box.
      2. Press the End key on your keyboard.
      3. Press the Delete (not backspace!) key on your keyboard.
      4. Press the Delete (not backspace!) key on your keyboard.
      5. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 2 -> and click OK.
      6. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
      7. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter -> and click OK.
      8. Press the End key on your keyboard.
      9. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter -> and click OK.
      10. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
      11. In the upper left hand corner, click Insert -> Data File Column...​ -> Enter 2 -> and click OK.
      12. Press the F4 key on your keyboard.
      13. Press the F12 key on your keyboard.
      14. Your Macro Definition should look like the image below.
      15. You can now resume the instructions at Step 9.

    • B - SKU A: The SKU the UPC is currently linked to.

      C - Description A: Description for SKU A.

      D - Disc Flag A: Discontinued flag for SKU A.

      E - UPC: The UPC in question.

      F - SKU B: The SKU the UPC needs to get linked to.

      G - Description B: Description for SKU B.

      H - Disc Flag B: Discontinued flag for SKU B.

    MEGA Report UPC Cross Links

  • Steps to process this report:

    1. In Acenet, search on a UPC number from the report's x-UPC column.
    2. Verify the SKU in the results matches the SKU listed in the report's SKU_B column.
    3. Select the Products Menu.
    4. In the search box, type a SKU from your Cross-linked UPCs report's SKU_A column and press Enter.
    5. In the General tab, locate and select the UPC hyperlink (right-hand side.)
    6. Locate the UPC from your report and click the minus button (upper left.)
    7. Click Delete.
    8. Press Update in the bottom-right.
    9. In the search box, type the SKU from your report's SKU_B column and select it.
    10. In the General tab, locate and select the UPC hyperlink (right hand side.)
    11. Enter the UPC from your report's x-UPC column into the UPC field.
    12. Click the Plus button.
    13. Press Update in the bottom-right.
    14. Press Save in the upper-right.
    15. Repeat the previous steps for each cross-linked UPC listed in your report.
    • B - SKU A: The SKU the UPC is currently linked to

      C - Description A: Description for SKU A.

      D - Disc Flag A: Discontinued flag for SKU A.

      E - UPC: The UPC in question.

      F - SKU B: The SKU the UPC needs to get linked to.

      G - Description B: Description for SKU B.
