Operational Level 0 - Overview

Completion 100% Inventory Accuracy Scorecard

Welcome, and congratulations on your choice to use Mango Report® to help your store achieve true inventory accuracy. If you have not yet read our Operational Level overview then please do so before continuing on with this Level training. If you are reading this section then your store is either new to Mango or is trying to achieve higher Count Sheet Completion to move to your next Operational Level. Either way, you're in the right spot.

Count Sheet Completion or "Completion" is your first Operational Level. It's called Level Zero because it is a prerequisite to utilizing Mango's accuracy system. Completion measures the percentage of SKUs counted (have received an updated Last Physical Inventory) that were listed on your monthly Count Sheets. Your store goal should be 100% although 95% is considered achieved for this level.  100% Completion means every SKU listed on your Count Sheets was counted (received an updated Last Physical Inventory Date).

Each month your store receives a Count Sheet.pdf as an attachment to Mango's Action Email. Your Count Sheets have between 300-400 (depending on store size and season) carefully-chosen SKUs listed to be counted. Your store's goal is to accurately count each SKU before the end of the month. By "counting" we mean each SKU's physical quantity-on-hand (QOH) is carefully verified against your computer's QOH record. This is usually accomplished using an RF gun and PIP, however, many stores successfully process Count Sheets without the aid of an RF gun.

    Pep Talk
The level difficulty will vary depending on your store's current inventory position and store operations, versus the level goal and best operational practice. Do not get overwhelmed, simply select your level and work down its checklist. Achieving and maintaining inventory accuracy and productivity is a day-to-day effort involving the whole organization, and is best ingrained in your store's operational culture; it takes time to move the needle sometimes. The work is worth the effort though, an accurate and productive store is easier to manage, has less theft risk, results in optimized inventory investment, and better sales.
