Common Transaction

This report shows items commonly sold in multiples where your store's inventory level and order point are not sufficient to accommodate these sales.

  • Steps to process this report:

      1. Determine if an increased inventory level is desired for your store.
      2. In Eagle Browser, launch Inventory Maintenance.
      3. Type in the SKU and click the Display button (F6).
      4. Increase Minimum Order Point to the suggested level (Common Transaction, CTX) or desired level.
      5. Press Change (F5), move on to the next.
    • Mango is averaging your store historical sales with its Peer Group (www.mangoreport.com/peer-groups) to find SKUs with average transactions greater than 1.10. It then applies many filters including seasonality, order multiple, promotional, unusual demand to create an actionable listing. The CTX column in this report shows the common selling multiple.

The list shows SKUs where at least 1 out of 9 sales is a multiple unit purchase. Stores with inventory levels below this multiple fail to experience these occasional sales increases and therefore the SKU's calculated Order Point is set below real customer demand. This is called the downward spiral of inventory levels where a low initial Order Point combined with an Order Multiple of 1 becomes self fulfilling low-volume SKU.

Increasing Minimum Order Point for these SKUs will allow your store to experience increased sales and customer satisfaction.
